We’re Joice and Sebastian, both originally from Chile, with a love for travel and a long list of places we’ve called home. After years of exploring different countries and cultures, we always talked about creating something that helped people and the planet.
A few months after arriving in Tasmania on a working holiday visa, we noticed how hard it was to find rental cars, and how expensive and stressful trip planning could be. That’s when the idea hit us: what if we offered cars that already came with camping gear? A flexible, affordable option for travellers who didn’t want to plan six months in advance or spend hundreds on gear they’d only use once.
Sebastian started shaping the business model, while I (Joice) brought in my passion for service, making sure our customers feel supported every step of the way. Together, we built Explora as the kind of solution we wish existed when we were travellers ourselves.
We’re still small, still growing, and full of ideas to make travel in Tasmania even better. If Explora helps make your trip easier, more spontaneous, and more connected to nature…then, we’ve done our job.
Tourism & Hospitality Manager by profession, city girl by origin, and now proud mum to Maxi. I’m a social soul, a natural talker, and passionate about travel, business, and a little bit of crypto too.
I’ve always loved the world of customer service, meeting people from everywhere, and helping others have unforgettable experiences. That’s what I love most about Explora! Getting to guide our travellers, share local tips, and make sure your Tassie trip is something special.
Enjoy every second of your adventure, I’m here if you need anything!
Designer by profession, creative at heart, and proud dad to Maxi. I’m a curious soul with a soft spot for soccer, skating, and building things from the ground up.
I come from an entrepreneurial family, so creating businesses has always been second nature, but Explora has pushed me to grow in ways I didn’t expect. I’m grateful this project lets me blend creativity, learning, and the chance to help travellers discover Tasmania’s wild beauty.
