| ⛴ Easy on the ferry no car needed | 🛒 Rolls on trolleys nothing on your back | 🔒 Animal-proof food box keeps possums out | ✅ Everything included no hidden fees |
| First time on Maria? Here's how it works. It's a ferry-only national park, so no cars. But you don't carry your gear: at the Triabunna wharf it goes into the ferry's crates, and when you arrive there are free trolleys waiting to roll everything to the campground (an easy 7-minute walk). We give you big sturdy linen bags too, so you load a bag or two onto the trolley instead of lots of loose items. |
🏕️ What's in your pack
Priced per person: Set the quantity to how many of you are camping, and everyone's gear is included.
- Tent: weatherproof and sized for your group, tested in Tassie wind and rain, with pegs and hammer
- Sleeping (each person): a warm sleeping bag, lightweight mat, blanket and pillow with cover
- Sealed cooking box (animal-proof at night): stove with gas, pots, pans, plates, cups, cutlery, cooking utensils, thermos and a cooler
- Lighting: a rechargeable headlamp each
- Carry bags: big sturdy linen bags sized for the ferry crates and trolleys
💡 Good to know
- No bond for camping gear. Just bring everything back clean and dry.
- Pay in full at booking. Contactless pickup, packed and ready at your pickup time.
- Bring your own food and water. There are no shops on the island, and the food box keeps it safe from possums and wildlife overnight.
- You'll still need to book your own ferry with the Maria Island ferry service, and your national park pass.
